ShareGift USA selects leading charitable organizations that have track records of success, high efficiency ratings and reflect the philanthropic patterns of generous Americans. ShareGift USA has selected the following charities focusing on education, health, human services, public society, the environment and selected international causes:
Teach for America Teach for America is the national corps of outstanding recent college graduates of all academic majors and career interests who commit two years to teach in urban and rural public schools and become leaders in the effort to expand educational opportunity. Its mission is to build the movement to eliminate educational inequity.
The American Cancer Society The American Cancer Society is a nationwide community-based volunteer health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service. With more than two million volunteers nationwide, the American Cancer Society is one of the oldest and largest voluntary health agencies in the United States.
The Juvenile Diabete Research Foundation International The JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. Founded in 1970, the JDRF's mission is to find a cure for diabetes, a disease which strikes children suddenly and requires multiple injections or infusions of insulin daily. Since inception, the JDRF has awarded more than $1.16 billion to diabetes research.
Trust for Public Land The Trust for Public Land is a national, non-profit land conservation organization that conserves land for people to enjoy as parks, community gardens, historic sites, rural lands and other natural places, ensuring liveable communities for generations to come.
The Wounded Warrior Project The Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors of the United States Armed Forces. The Wounded Warrior Project works to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.
CARE CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty. Its mission is to serve individuals and families in the poorest communities in the world. Drawing strength from its global diversity, resources, and experience, CARE promotes innovative solutions and advocates for global responsibility.
Over time, ShareGift USA will monitor and select additional charities that meet its criteria. ShareGift USA's only objective is to place as many funds as possible into the hands of worthy charities. Therefore, it will work with corporations to include on its roster charities of particular interest to them.
